I ended up deleting the app because my school isn't in it. I wanted to have it because I love reading, but most ebooks cost money.

I haven’t looked very hard but two series that I have read don’t have all the books. For example, the scarlet rose. All they have is book 2 and 3 but there are 5 books! I like this series but I can’t read it all. I don’t even know how it started!

I like this app, it is really good but I don’t know if it is my phone or the app, but nothing is loading in on it. I open the app because my dad has my real books, and nothing is loading in. I don’t know if it is the app or my phone but I hope it gets fixed. Other than that, this app is really good!

I really love this app, and I would have given 5 stars, but the app has already removed books from my account twice, and when I download them again, I am put back to the beginning of the book. There is no option to go to a particular page, which is frustrating and forces me to go one page at a time to get back to where I left off. Please fix with next update.

Whenever I log out and log back in, it always tells me to download it again, but when I do, it sends me to the login page, this clearly tells me incompetence on the programmers behalf. It also says that some books are “unavailable”, this is a Ebook site, how can it be unavailable, please fix.

It allows me to “borrow” the books but never opens the book to let us read them.

I can’t log in

I sped this and I need a clever account of a first book account to login but I’m not trying to do this for school.

I have an iPhone 11 and it won’t even let you read the book. You can still download the book but when you click to read it just shows a blank page. Please update!!!

I love the app for how much books I can read but the problem is half of the time i spent reading the books is usually trying to adjust so i can read the first two sentences of a page. I love how there are different settings for the background and texts which means i can read in the dark without straining my eyes. The app is also very easy to navigate. Overall, my only complaint is how it cuts off at the top.

I love the huge selection of novels in this app for students, but words are cut off at the top of my page when I read on my iPhone X. The app needs updated to account for this.

If you work with low income families this app is a must!!! If you subscribe to First Book you can hand subscriptions to families for free. They can access dozens of books at home for FREE! Again this is all free and the pictures are clear and crisp. Some books don’t download but it’s because I believe they are maxed out in digital copies. So I suggest trying a different day. Or even a different book.

I love the idea, and the selection of books on this app. However, when trying to read the books, Part of the text is cut off on the top. I have experienced this with every book I have attempted to read, and my students have as well. I hope this gets fixed so I can recommend this app to more students. Potential to be a really amazing resource!

I’d give this 5 stars in a heartbeat but I have an iPhone XR and the top line of books gets cut off because of the formatting of the book to fill the whole screen but where my speaker is the line gets cut. I’ve tried to downsize the text size and other things and nothing can fix it. It stinks skipping a line on every page

Login doesn’t even work.

I tried reporting this issue through the app but it won’t connect at all despite my strong WiFi connection. We can’t see the catalog at all to find new books. The books in our library are the only ones we can access. Please fix this issue. We’re trying to connect on an iPad.

I couldn’t read NOTHING on there it was blank I hate this

This is a great app... for everyone who doesn’t have an iPhone X or higher. It’s been over a year since my school has raised the issue of this incompatibility, with little more than “We are aware of the issue and it should be resolved shortly.” I wish I could recommend this app for my students, but it just doesn’t work.

I came across this app and access to it through First Book Marketplace. It has been an amazing tool for not only myself but also my students. Being able to provide them with free access to a variety of e-books that they can read on the go has definitely changed my students interest in reading for the better. However, there is a formatting issue with the taxed on the iPhone XS Max. The top line of each page gets cut out because of the notch! I really hope this formatting issue is fixed soon!

As I am reading it just randomly kicks me out of the app completely. It can be on any book or any page.

I find it difficult to read due to the notches at the top cutting off text. Please fix this.

This app is only accessible for schools that hav wit in their learning program. I don’t agree with that because personally they have some really good books on this app but only some schools get to get on it. Please try and fix this because I would like to enjoy a book every once and a while.

I love the app and what it is intended for, but I have had lots of issues with it not working correctly. I am only allowed to check out six books, and in the parent letter it said 10 could be downloaded. I also get an error message when I try to download some titles. The app will also kick me out in the middle of reading. I want it to work so badly because it is such an awesome resource.

This app is amazing when it works. On the iPhone X, this version will not allow me to read it in landscape mode, not will it allow me to zoom in. When that gets fixed I will readjust rating to 5 stars.

On the iPhone X, the app Open Ebooks is great. However, one problem that I witness every time I try to read on the app is, the app cuts off some of the top text because of the notch on the iPhone X. The text on top of the page is unreadable because of this problem. Hopefully you can change this so I, along with the many other “Book Lovers” can get back to reading as soon as possible. Thanks.

It don't let me download books

When I launch the app, I’m presented with the End User License Agreement. But there doesn’t appear to be a way to accept the agreement, or otherwise move on.

Cant even zoom in

So I have the Harry Potter series and I thought "well what if I forget my book?"so I wanted to go check out Harry Potter in the app but it wasn't there

My children enjoy the access to more books!

Loads very slowly! Each page takes over 30 seconds to display- way too long for a 3 year old attention span.

There are major bugs like the page flip animation freezes but I do get free books so.... it kind of evens out

I really like open ebooks but whenever I download a story it cuts off half of the chapter....
